After being the victim hurt in an auto accident (mistake, not going to the hospital then), I thought my arm and leg would get better on their own. With the coldest/dampest winter on record in Naples, Fl after the Nov.28, '09 incident (woman in a van changing directly beside me into my lane) I was in agony in my left leg/hip and right hand/arm/shoulder blade within a week or so after. In bed under a heat lamp or standing in my shower with hot water to try and get relief from the pain in both areas. In the meanwhile, calling Allstate (supposedly my company) and also Travelers (the woman at fault was a client of this one) begging and pleading for them to tell me what doctor to go to. I was not able to get their attention until threatening suicide with a note left with Allstate mentioned. Finally, to physical therapy...I still hurt, and the only suggestion they have pushed all along is for to take NARCOTIC PAIN MEDICATION. I refused that to the doctors dismay each time.
Over a year later, no help and still have pain. Also, with a tiny leak between the walls of my shower plumbing, that cold/wet winter grew mold between the walls. I notified Allstate as soon as I got contractors to confirm damage and a lot of mold. What was I told, as if I felt like more bad news from them, but that 'you NEGLECTED your property' . I replied that I had neither glass walls nor X-ray vision to know what was going on between the wall until the tiny dark place at the baseboard.
I am supposed to go into negotiation with a state mediator for the bathroom damage. But....I still have pain, am not about to do things I did before that morning (on my way to donate blood when it happened)".
YOU are NOT in good hands with Allstate/. I have since changed my homeowner's to State Farm through the state of Florida?. But the mold and damage, and my injuries lay at the feet of Allstate.. Instead they and Travelers have let my credit score drop drastically due to doctor bills that came while I was north taking care of my father, while still barely walking myself!.
Shame of the moneychangers in this world/. I paid all of these years for peace of mind.. I've been thrown away'. Don't let it happen to you!!! 128919a
